Our Story...

Keith and Kristen have a passion for helping land and homeowners make their dream spaces a reality. They love bringing unique projects to life with quality craftsmanship and creativity. Their journey to being a design and build team has been a long one spanning over 21 years of dating and marriage.

Keith bought Kristen's building in 2001 and after seeing how messy her room was decided he was in love. If this girl can live in here she can live in a construction zone. Their very first summer of dating he wooed her by making her paint ceilings in his newest rental property. They ended up acquiring and renovating 3 more college rental houses, renovating 2 houses for themselves, building a house for Keith's mom and all while Keith was working in a high paced commercial construction company and Kristen was teaching Pilates full time over the next 10 years.

After spending several years in commercial construction as a project manager building public schools, Keith switched over to home renovations in the historic neighborhood of Northside in Cincinnati, OH. During that time he helped a couple flip a $50,000 house into a $465,000 money maker. Built an ADA compliant mother-n-law cottage for a blind woman, where she was safe and had her own personal space from the grandkids. His last project in Ohio was a 200 year old farm house that needed an addition to functional kitchen to accommodate a family of 8.

While Keith handles all things structural, Kristen handles all things visual and emotional! Kristen considers herself an accidental designer. Design decisions come with the territory of being married to a builder. She has learned the hard way if she doesn't get involved in the beginning of a project the product wouldn't turn out how she had hoped.

On the visual front she coordinates all the colors and textures throughout the house, is heavily involved in the floor plans and making sure there is a continuity throughout the project. Emotionally, she helps guide clients through the arduous decision making process. Whether the husband wants a neutral home and the wife something bright an edgy, she tries to find ways to get everyone communicating and in agreement and making compromises that make sense.

During the Coronavirus lockdowns, we renovated a 1977 MCI motor coach moved our family onto and travelled across the country to settle in Vail, AZ. And most recently, we built a beautiful spec home in Jacaranda Villages. We asked the neighbors what was missing from their homes and added those missing pieces to ours, such as improved heating and cooling, closet space, and neutral color schemes.

There are so many decisions when building a new home or renovating a kitchen . Having someone who will listen to you and try to help bring your vision to life can be super helpful. Between the two, Keith and Kristen can usually make any dream happen with a little thoughtful creativity. We believe that homes should be built for the people living in them and that they should be built to last!
